LII for Providers
Programme Recognition and Partnership for Providers
LII offers two distinct pathways for training providers and leadership development organisations. Programme Recognition (LIA) verifies the quality of your programmes. Delivery Partnership establishes a commercial relationship with LII.
Two Pathways. Two Distinct Purposes.
Programme Recognition and Delivery Partnership are separate arrangements. Most providers will pursue one or the other — not both. Understanding the distinction is the starting point.
Programme Quality
Programme Recognition (LIA)
The Leadership Impact Accreditation (LIA) is independent recognition for leadership, management, and workforce development programmes. LIA verifies that a programme meets the LII standard for evidence-based leadership development — assessed against a published framework, not a compliance checklist.
LIA is for providers who want independent validation of their programme quality and the right to carry the LII Programme Recognition mark.
Programme Recognition (LIA)Commercial Relationship
Delivery Partnership
Delivery Partnership establishes an authorised commercial relationship with LII. Delivery Partners work with LII to support candidates through the certification pathway — providing development support, coaching, or programme delivery aligned to LII certification standards.
Delivery Partnership is for training organisations and coaching providers who want to build a commercial relationship with LII distinct from programme recognition.
Delivery PartnershipWhich Pathway Is Right for You?
The two pathways serve different purposes and involve different processes. If you are unsure which applies to your organisation, contact LII for an initial conversation before submitting any application.
If You Deliver Leadership Development Programmes
LIA Programme Recognition is most likely your pathway. LIA evaluates your programme design, delivery approach, and evidence of participant impact — and, where the standard is met, awards the LII Programme Recognition mark. This is the appropriate route for training providers, business schools, and consultancies with existing leadership programmes.
If You Want to Support LII Certification Candidates
Delivery Partnership is most likely your pathway. Delivery Partners do not require their own LIA-recognised programme — they work alongside the LII certification framework, providing coaching, development support, or structured preparation for candidates pursuing LII certification. A commercial agreement with LII governs the relationship.
