LII offers two independent recognition standards. The Leadership Excellence Mark (LEM) is for organisations. LIA Programme Recognition is for leadership development providers. Each is independently assessed. Each serves a distinct purpose.

For Organisations
Leadership Excellence Mark (LEM)
Independent leadership benchmarking and recognition for organisations. The LEM evaluates your organisation's leadership culture, pipeline, and practice against the LII standard — producing a verified benchmark and, where the standard is met, a recognised mark of leadership excellence.
For Providers
Programme Recognition (LIA)
Independent recognition for leadership development programmes. LIA assesses whether the programme produces verifiable behaviour change and measurable organisational outcomes. Recognition level is determined by score, not selected or purchased.
